Beauty Smoothie Recipe

Today I am going to share a beauty smoothie recipe with you. It has some great ingredients such as avocado which is excellent for your skin plus the nutmeg having calming and soothing properties.

You might be suprised to see sugarsnap peas as an ingredient but it actually tastes really nice!

What you will need:

- 1 orange
- 100g sugarsnap peas
- 1/2 avocado
- 2-3 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- a little bit mineral water
- a little bit of nutmeg depending on your taste

First of all juice the orange and the sugarsnap peas. Then put the juice and all other ingredients in the blender until smooth. Enjoy!

Mango Lassi

This is delicious with ripe and juicy mangoes!

What you will need:
- flesh of a large mango
- 100ml natural yoghurt
- 100ml water
- mint to decorate

Put all ingredients apart from the mint into a blender and process until smooth. Decorate with the mint and enjoy your mango lassi!

Antibiotic Juice Recipe

This juice aids the immune system and acts as a power antibiotic and antiseptic. In the long run it is not good to take antibiotics because bacteria and organisms become resistant. Antibiotics can also cause organ damage in the long run.

All these reasons make this juice an excellent choice plus this juice will help strengthen your immune system.

What you will need:

- 1 carrot
- 1 beetroot
- 2 spinach leaves
- 1-2 apples (depending on your taste)
-1/2 cm horseradish root
- 1/2cm fresh ginger root
- 1/2 to 1 garlic glove (optional if you can tolerate the taste)
- 1/2 cup watercress (optional)

Wash all the ingredients and process through your juicer. This may not be the best tasting juice however it is great for help with infections and you can customise it a little by adding more apples so that the taste improves or you can dilute it with water. Try to drink a minimum of once 300ml of this juice, for best results twice daily.

Banana Heaven Smoothie Recipe

If you are looking for a little lift or a smoothie that is going to give you more energy; you will enjoy this Banana Smoothie Recipe.

What you will need:
- 2 frozen bananas
- 450ml soy milk
- pinch of ground cinnamon
- 40g ground almonds
- 1 teaspoon honey

Put all of the above ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. If you wish enjoy your banana smoothie over some ice!

It tastes so good it is hard to believe it's good for you!

Paradise Smoothie Recipe

This Paradise Smoothie Recipe is definitely one of my favourites and is a really luxurious smoothie!
To me it tastes like paradise in a glass; try it for yourself and see what you think.

What you will need
- 300g watermelon (frozen overnight)
- 2 kiwis
- 200ml passion fruit juice
- seeds of one passion fruit

This smoothie requires a little preparation because it is recommended to freeze the watermelon overnight for best results. As with most smoothies put all ingredients in a blender and enjoy over some ice!

Watermelons are rich in powerful antioxidants and are a great source of Vitamin C. They can also help with the inflammation resulting from astma, colon cancer and also arthritis.

Apple Berry Smoothie

You will love this Apple Berry Smoothie! In case that you do not have any blueberries you can also use other berries that you might have.

What you need
- 2 apples
- 125g blueberries

First juice the apples and then put the juice and the berries into the blender.

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants and will strengthen your immune system. They are a great anti-aging food and also help fight cancer and other diseases.







Simple Carrot Juice Recipe

One of my favourites is a simple carrot juice recipe.

What you need
- approximately 5 carrots
- some lemon

Juice the carrots and squeeze in the desired amount of lemon juice. I usually find that the lemon juice brings out the flavour in the carrots and gives it an even better texture.

Enjoy your carrot juice over some ice!

Tonight I made a Parsley Smoothie, which turned out beautiful.

Juice the following ingredients
- half a cucumber
- one apple

Put the juice and a small handful of parsley in a blender; enjoy your parsley smoothie over some ice!

Parsley is an amazing herb that can help with high blood pressure, eye disorders and anemia. If you are a sufferer of migraines parsley might help. It is also an excellent blood cleanser, can help sufferers of arthritis and people that have hardened arteries.

Green Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

Here is another Green Smoothie Recipe that I made this morning for breakfast. It turned out perfect; sweet and healthy.

- 1 kiwi

- 1/4 of an avocado

Hangover Juice Recipe

Found this recipe today; a Hangover Juice Recipe. It is supposed to be consumed before going to bed in order to decrease the severity of any hangovers the following day.

What you need
- Tomato Juice 100ml
- Cucumber Juice 100ml
- Spinach Juice 10ml
- 1 tbsp olive oil

Combine the above ingredients and enjoy over some ice!

Apple Smoothie Recipe - Apple Pie Smoothie

This was today's juicing/smoothie project - an Apple Pie Smoothie! It is said to be good for athletes but I am sure that even if you are not an athlete your body will get enormous benefits from this delicious smoothie.

What you need
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 peeled chopped apple
- 1 cup apple juice (approximately 2-3 apples juiced)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch of nutmeg

First juice the apples and then put all the ingredients in the blender. Enjoy over some ice!

Did you actually know that apple juice can have a similar affect to a coffee but that it is actually healthier for you? It will give you a boost of energy but without the actual lows that you experience when consuming caffeine.

Tomato Juice Recipe

Today I just made one of my favourites; a very easy tomato juice recipe.

What you will need:
- 6 tomatoes
- a little squeeze of lemon juice

Put the tomatoes through the juicer and squeeze in a little bit of lemon juice. Enjoy over some ice!

Even though quite simple this tomato juice recipe is delicious and good for you because tomato juice can help to prevent cancer! It also improves digestion and is rich in Vitamin C; which will strengthen you immune system. Because this tomato juice recipe is so good for you, try to include it every week.

My Green Juice Recipe

Today I tried something different; I didn't use a recipe from a book but created my own Green Juice Recipe. I was surprised to be honest how good it actually tasted; way better than I thought it would!

What I juiced in my juicer:
- 2 green apples
- 1 inch cucumber
- 1 inch zucchini
- 3 salad leaves (I used Cos Salad)
- a very small piece of green capsicum

I juiced everything in between the two apples; so therefore first one apple than all other ingredients and last another apple.

I have also done some research so that I can actually tell you some of the health benefits of my Green Juice Recipe from above.

Raw Apple Juice is good because it cleanses the liver and kidneys! It also contains Vitamin A which is great for your vision and Vitamin C, an effective antioxidant. There is also fiber in Raw Apple Juice which helps prevent the build up of cholesterol in your blood vessels. Of course there is also physio nutrients to reduce the risk of heart disease and potassium which can reduce pain associated with arthritis and rheumatism.

Lets look at the health benefits of Raw Cucumber Juice. Raw Cucumber Juice can be good for acne, arthritis, eczema, fluid retention, hair loss, high blood pressure, kidneys, psoriasis, stomach disorders and weight loss. It is a good source of folate, magnesium, Vitamin B6, C and K, as well as potassium, panthothermic acid, phosphorus, thiamin, sulphur. And that is only the benefits of two of the ingredients of the above Green Juice Recipe!

Raw Lettuce Juice is also amazing because it contains so much good stuff that it aids digestion, helps with constipation and may also aid with insomnia. It is also good to know that it can reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease and stroke as well as cateracts. Raw Lettuce is also good for hair loss and what I found quite interesting can help with problems of premature ejaculation!

Raw Zucchini Juice has similar health benefits as cucumber juice as is generally good for bladder problems, kidney health, skin conditions as well as weight loss. Raw Zucchini Juice is in addition also a good internal cleanser!

Finally our last ingredient Raw Capsicum Juice is rich in lycopene which is an antioxidant that helps prevent cancer. It also contains Vitamin C to help the production of collagen which protects against skin disorders. Another health benefit of Raw Capsicum Juice is that it contains Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B9; both of these help control blood levels and also reduce the risk of heart disease.

I was quite impressed with all the health benefits that my Green Juice Recipe has and I can assure you I will be making it again!

High Blood Pressure Smoothie Recipe

This smoothie might help people with high blood pressure. Most cases of high blood pressure are caused by hardening of the arteries or even blockages. This results in that the heart has to work a lot harder to pump the blood through the body which is then called high blood pressure.

When someone has high blood pressure this can mean an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes. Generally middle aged people and overweight people are more affected by this.

In her book Raw Juices Can Save Your Life Sandra Cabot includes lots of recipes to help many healthy problems or issues ranging from high blood pressure, hormonal imbalances, colds to even headaches and many many more.

For this smoothie you will need
- 1 banana
- 1 cm slice pineapple
- 1 cup milk (oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk or rice milk)
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

Put all the ingredients in the blender and enjoy your high blood pressure smoothie over some ice!

P.S. You can even enjoy this if you haven't high blood pressure; it still tastes yummy and is good for you!

Midday Melon Juice

Here is a special melon juice recipe from Jason Vale that is packed with vitamin A and C, betacarotene,, phyto-chemicals, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium! It will help you stay hydrated and it just simply tastes amazing!

What you will need:
- 1/2 watermelon (small)
- 1/4 lemon
- 2 pomegranates
- 100g raspberries

I personally prefer to juice everything apart from the raspberries and as the final step put the juice and the berries in the blender/fruit processor. It will make it thicker and you will be able to get more out of the raspberries. However this comes down to personal preference on how you prefer to enjoy your melon juice!

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro 67650

This is a review of the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro 67650.

At only the cost of approximately $70 this is a great juicer to even suit a lower budget!

It has quite a high horsepower of 1.1hp and comes with a one year warranty.

One of the downsides is that the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro 67650 generally has a higher wastage especially when you are juicing softer fruits or softer vegetables. However don't let this one fact put you off. As mentioned previously it is important to consider how often you will be using it and also what you would like to juice in the long run.

It is easy to assemble out of the box and easy to operate. Parts are dishwasher safe to enable easier cleaning.

Plus you can also fit whole fruits into the chute!

This juicer scored 4.5 stars of out 5 from customers that bought it on Amazon which shows that a lot of people were happy with their purchase.

Definitely great value for money the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro 67650.

Headache Remedy Juice

I make this juice every now and then when I get a headache and it can have quite an impact depending on the cause of your headache.

What you will need:
- 2 cabbage leaves
- 1 cup chopped broccoli pieces
- 1 whole apple
- 1 big carrot

Be warned this is not necessarily one of the best tasting juices, but it can be a great headache remedy juice.

Another thing that can help is if you take magnesium tablets which then acts as a pain reliever (4-6 tablets daily when you have a headache).

However always ensure that you are not allergic to any of the things mentioned and if you are in doubt check with you health care professional.

Morning Zing Juice Recipe

This recipe is great first thing when you wake up in the morning! Loaded with lots of vitamins and minerals; this will leave you feeling great and ready for your day ahead.

What you will need
- 1 stick celery
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/4 lime
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger
- green apples

I would recommend juicing the ingredients in between apples so that you will get the most juice from this recipe.

Breville BJE510XL

Today I am going to review the Breville BJE510XL juicer. Essentially it is a five speed juicer which speed ranges from 6500rpm for softer fruits and greens to 12500rpm for denser foods such as carrots. It comes in a stainless steel housing with a stainless-steel micromesh filter and cutters, engineering-grade polymers and a backlit control panel. Plus the parts are dishwasher safe which makes it a whole lot easier to clean. Generally I find that the cleaning is the part that can put people off from juicing, however this is something that Breville has made easier with this juicer. The 3 inch feed tube makes it easy to juice whole fruits and vegetables and therefore requires less preparation before you start the actual juicing process. It also comes with a brush to help with cleaning.

The Breville BJE510XL can make a 8 ounces glass of juice in about 5 seconds. This juicer has 900 watts power and carries a one year warranty.

The Breville BJE510XL was nominated for the Australian International Design Award and carries a 4.5 star rating (out of 5) reviewed by Amazon customers that have bought the juicer, which speaks for itself.

Protein Smoothie Recipe

This protein smoothie recipe is amazing! If you are looking for a protein smoothie to give you all eight essential amino acids this is what you have been looking for. Whether you do weight training or any other workout this will help your recovery!

What you need:
- 2 apples
- 1/4 cucumber
- celery stick
- whole peeled lime
Juice all the above in between the apples to get out the most juice.

Next you will need to put the following in your blender:
- 1/2 banana
- 1 tablespoon of sesame and pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 avocado
Blend this for about a minute and pour over ice!

This protein smoothie will give you all the essential protein that your body needs and will keep you feeling fuller for longer!

Best Juicers Guide

This is a short guide on what to look out for when looking at the best juicers to find one that is suitable for you.

Things to take into consideration:

What will I be juicing? This might be an important question to determine which is the right juicer for you. There are three types of juicers; citrus, centrifugal and masticating. Citrus juicers are used to juice citrus fruits whereas centrifugal juicers have blades/shredder discs which are used to extract juice from a variety of fruit and vegetables. The third type masticating juicers are excellent for leafy greens because they crush and knead the produce to a pulp before squeezing out the juice. Masticating juicers are excellent because it is harder to extract juice from leafy greens in comparison to other vegetables.

Is the juicer easy to clean? My personal favourite are Breville juicers because they are good to clean in comparison to other juicers on the market. But the main thing is to really do your research with any juicer you are interested in and find out how easy it is to clean the juicer preferably before you buy it. 

How noisy is the juicer? Sometimes this can be quite hard to know before actually buying a juicer. However reviews on Amazon are a great way to find out because people that have bought the juicers generally comment on the noise and other features of the juicers that are sold on there.

You may also want to consider whether the juicer comes with a warranty.

It is important to give the above considerations enough thought, because you want the Best Juicer for you! You don't just want another kitchen appliance that is going to sit in your kitchen cupboard collecting dust...

Workout Wonder Juice Recipe

This is the ideal juice before and after your workouts whether you work out at the gym, enjoy a run or do any other exercise. Many of you probably know that during your workout you will loose potassium and sodium. This workout wonder juice recipe has the perfect balance of these nutrients and will speed up the recovery process.

It is generally best to drink a glass 30 minutes before your workout and another 30 minutes after your workout.
